(Advanced Diploma in Sociology, Graduate Diploma in Science of Early Childhood Development)
Being raised in a family and community where women were seen and treated as objects, and never seeing his own daddy helping or doing any household chores, Sono decided early on in life to follow a course to change this norm and give women and girls more power and equality. At AGH, he oversees all the projects being implemented, making sure each and every one accomplishes AGH’s main goal to empower women and girls. Sono has previously held job positions at African Youth Trust, Kuleana Center for Children, National Institute for Medical Research in Mwanza Tanzania, and is currently a chairman for Tanzania Early Childhood Development Network and an Associate and Technical Person for Women Fund Tanzania.
