On October 11, Amani Girls Home, together with about 25 other organizations, gathered at Luchelele Primary School to celebrate International Day of the Girl Child.
Some of the issues discussed were the need to stop female genital mutilation (FGM), child marriage and child pregnancy.
One of the youth groups from the project A Working Future had the opportunity to exhibit the business they had started. A Working Future helps young people to get the knowledge, skills and connections they need to reach their work goals.
The guest of honor, representing the Region Commissioner, was Honorable Emmanuel Kipole, Sengerema District Commissioner. Speaking in the picture above is Richard Ndasa, the Mwanza Regional Community Development Officer.
